Owner and driver, Brian Smith from Richmond, IN is a good friend to Jason Mangus above and Nick Newton below. The three travel to Union County Speedway each week to race. Brian has also been racing for five years; this being his first year in the Modified class. In the past, Brian has raced in the Bomber and Street Stock classes. Brian said he has been coming to the track since he was a little boy.

This is Nick Newton's third year racing at Union County Speedway. Also from Richmond, IN Nick is the owner and driver of his road hog #39.

Mason Myers, son of Larry Myers who is featured on the front page, came to race at the track last week but wasn't able to get his car running. This week his car was running good but he had a terrible accident. He is the car to the left that is on its side! After moving the car in front of it, his car ended up on its top. To the right shows the damage done to Mason's car! We are very thankful that Mason was not hurt very badly. He said he was just really sore!

Jason Mangus from Richmond, IN had his mechanic, stepson Brenton George, working on the car Friday night before the races. Unfortunately, Brenton wasn't able to get the car running and Jason didn't get to race. Way to go Brenton! Hopefully we will see Jason next week. Racing for five years, this is Jason's first year in the Modified class. He has raced in the Bomber and Street Stock classes in the past. Good luck next week Jason.
